Press Coverage about Thurgood Marshall Academy
Public Charter High School and our New Facility

Thurgood Marshall Academy and our new home have
garnered considerable media coverage:
- The
Washington Post dubbed the new facility
"A New Jewel of a School in Ward 8"
(10/27/05). The paper also ran an earlier
article (8/25/05) stating that Thugood Marshall
Academy was one of only a handful of completed
renovation projects in the District.
- The
Hill noted the opening of Thurgood Marshall
Academy's "beautiful rehab" of the old
Nichols building (10/26/05).
- The
Washington Times declared that "With
a new building that features floor-to-ceiling
windows and wood floors, the students' prospects
for a post-high-school education now seem sky-high"
(10/17/05).
- The
Washington Times also included Thurgood
Marshall Academy's staff and students in an article
on schools' teaching about Rosa Parks (10/26/05);
and
- Coverage of Thurgood Marshall Academy and our
new home appeared on WRC-TV
NBC Channel 4 and other local stations.
