The Public Charter School Board (PCSB) has rated Thurgood Marshall Academy as one of four Tier 1 high schools in Washington, D.C. This rating is determined by the Performance Management Framework (PMF), a tool used by the PCSB to evaluate school performance in the charter sector. In addition to it’s Tier 1 rating, Thurgood Marshall Academy was highlighted in the PCSB’s news release as having the highest student growth in reading and math on the DC CAS, as well as the highest SAT, highest AP, and highest DC CAS scores. These results indicate that in addition to reaching local benchmarks, Thurgood Marshall Academy students are performing well against national metrics such as the SAT and AP exams.
