General Coursework
Thurgood Marshall Academy provides a rigorous, college-preparatory
curriculum. We provide intensive support to students
in 9th and 10th grades to ensure that they reach grade-level
skills, regardless of where they began.
See our Course
Offerings page for a typical sequence of courses.
Law Theme
Thurgood
Marshall Academy's law-themed curriculum teaches not only basic academic skills but also high-order, law-related skills such as using evidence to support an argument, conducting research, synthesizing information, and making presentations. Students take classes such as Street Law and participate in law-related extracurricular activities. Instructors also use law as a teaching tool across the curriculum.
