College Counseling
Thurgood Marshall Academy has an extensive College Counseling office to support our students’ college preparation and application process. The College Counselor organizes events like College Application Nights, on-site admissions sessions, FAFSA night, college visits, and a parent night for sophomore and junior students to increase the visibility and awareness of college in every grade. The College Counselor’s hands-on assistance with the research and application process—both during and outside of the Senior Seminar course—helped the Class of 2011 continue the tradition of 100% college acceptance. Additionally, 82% of students were accepted to two or more colleges and 67% were accepted to three or more colleges.
Thurgood Marshall Academy is committed to helping young people reach their full academic and personal potential. We are dedicated to supporting and assisting our students in acquiring the tools and knowledge they need to make informed decisions and live successful and fulfilling lives.
