> Responsibilities
Thurgood Marshall Academy expects its students to take responsibility for their own education. This means:
- Arriving on time to school every daybefore
8:45 amand attending all classes on time.
- Completing all homework assignments on time and to the best of their ability.
- Participating fully in all parts of the Thurgood Marshall Academy curriculum (i.e., academics, community service, and enrichment activities).
- Reflecting the goals of this community through their dress (always in full uniform unless otherwise specified) and through their behavior.
- Creating a respectful, positive learning environment,
allowing teachers and students to demand the best
of them, while demanding the best of teachers and
fellow students.
- Following the Code of Conduct and presenting no
significant or continuing discipline problems.
All students receive an annually updated Student Handbook, which outlines the specific expectations of a Thurgood
Marshall Academy
student.
